Improv Everywhere's latest mission was creating an art gallery on the 23rd street subway platform.
They put up placards next to objects we pass by every day like electrical boxes, signs, advertisements and as you probably already know, I love calling attention to the overlooked.
My favorite part of the mission had to be the "ongoing" performance art. They put a placard next to one of the benches with the title "Woman Sitting on a Bench (Ongoing)" which of course worked best when there was...a woman sitting on the bench.
