I have a thing for checking weather.com and specifically watching the radar. Just a weird obsession of mine. No biggy. So today I open it up and zoom out to get the full scope of today's impending storm....
Oh the horror!!! A giant blue mustache with a severe sinus infection is taking over the northeast!! Who will save us now?!

I swear I didn't doctor this. It's a straight up screenshot of the radar.
Do ya see it? Do ya?
Anyhow, we're finally getting some decent snow around here. I know you folks
who have been totally buried in it probably think I'm nuts to be happy about this, but it's
been ages since NYC has seen a truly substantial snow storm. The past
few years have been weak. If we had any, it just melted away. However, by the looks of it, this one is not going anywhere any time soon.
I mean it's made of mustache and snot. This is serious business!
This concludes your daft announcement for the day.
My favorite snow memory was when we schlepped in from up here to see Patti Smith and there was so much snow that the City was silent, no cars were moving and people were walking/playing right in the middle of major streets. Wonderful night.
Oh, and that wasn't a mustache, it was a full beard snow.
Yeah, that was a fantastic time. That's the last really big storm I remember having here.
I also remember that crazy October blizzard and being able to jump out of the tree on the front lawn and into the gigantic pile of snow. Good times.
You are so funny! I must have looked at that map a hundred times last night and I never noticed :-)
Did my comment work?
Since I was able to go out and do a marathon shopping spree before we get blasted again, I am content. It can snow for the next few days. I'm okay with it.
Stay warm and safe and enjoy!
