Etsy Wednesday - March Spring Cleaning

Property of BROOMCHICK

So I figured when I took on "Spring Cleaning" as a theme this month that I had doomed myself to boring but useful products.  How wrong was I?  In fact I've learned that cleaning products don't have to be something that's just "useful" and you stow away in a cabinet when company comes over.  They can be fun and decorative too!

Of course, the moment I saw these beautiful brooms I knew I wanted one of each.

The Turkey Wing Broom you see above is the first that caught my eye.  The unique shape and colors really grabbed me.  Second thought, do they actually sweep anything up or are they just for show?  Well according to BROOMCHICK, they're fully functional and on top of that, she's got 100% positive feedback from her customers, so I'm thinking this isn't just a decoration for your wall.

The unique curve of the Turkey Wing Broom is great for getting dirt out from under cupboards and in corners.  It's made of 100% broomcorn and you pay only $17 for this gorgeous and long lasting creation!

Of course, it doesn't stop there.  You've gotta check out the Kitchen Brooms (said to last many times longer than their commercial counterparts) and Cobweb Brooms

What's even cooler?  These are completely handmade, right down to the harvesting of the raw materials used (broomcorn and hardwoods from the Ozark Mountains).  Plus they use tools and techniques that date back hundreds of years so it's like you're getting a piece of history.

Please take a moment to check out the rest of the fantastic BROOMCHICK shop.  I doubt you'll be dissapointed.

I really like these. If they weren't functional, I wouldn't give them a glance, but because they are real brooms made with straw, I may have to grab one when funds allow. I've been battling with a stupid plastic one for a long time. Supposed to be better, but are awful.

It's odd to say, I'm sure, but I love whisk brooms.
