Gotta see it - Rosemarie Fiore firework drawings

Firework Drawing #21
"Firework Drawing #21"
by: Rosemarie Fiore

Maybe it's because I used to be a pyrotechnician that I was instantly drawn to these.  Believe it or not, this (and the rest of the collection) was made by igniting fireworks under buckets and over paper, resulting in "bursts of saturated color that are overlaped and collaged into abstract compositions."

A photo of Rosemarie Fiore during the process:

Check out her site and even better, if you happen to be in the NYC area between now and May 16th, you can see the "Pyrotechnics" collection in person at Priska C. Juschka's Fine Art gallery.

These are so interesting. The process is hard for me to really 'get' but I like the results. With your pyro background, I can easily imagine you doing something similar (but don't! lol)
