Weekends are my busiest days of the week as a theater technician and all I could think about on Friday was of warmer days and blossoming flowers. Maybe it’s just because I was sick, but I’d swear it was the coldest weekend we’ve had all winter.
I realize now we’re not going to get any substantial fun snow this year and my brain is moving on to spring. I took the first photo (reprocessed for Friday’s daily creation) in Prospect Park sometime in very early spring one year and I want to go to there…
Saturday I watched, as usual, everyone relaxing and winding down for their days off. Sunday I could taste the end of my week as I waited for the busy. Today… I’ve barely gotten a single thing done and I’m quite alright with that.
Man February is short. I looked back at my stuff from this months collection from the 365 project and it feels like it all happened yesterday!
I’ve got a gnarly case of the crud. On Monday (my day off) I pretty much stayed in bed. Sadly I had to work yesterday and today which is why I’m having a difficult time getting rid of it. Ah well. Onwards!
Something about the way the light hit this guys’ shiny red coat mixed with his posture and the empty MTA bus. I just had to take this picture.
We had a long weekend at work due to President’s day. Normally we only have one show on Sunday, but we switched it up so people could enjoy the theater on their holiday night off. We had a sold out audience so it was entirely worth it, but it was loooong. And I am whooped.
Here’s a few images I captured over the last few days for the most excellent and so far successful 365 daily creations project I’m working on.
One of the hanging lights from my Vday night out.
A view of our hangout spot at work. I saw a lot of it this weekend.
Our stage manager took pity on us and baked us some amazing bread.
If you look closely, you can see the sign for my theater in this shot.
Whether you like today or not, we all deserve some love.
First, a little catch up on my daily creations:
Well, color me corrected. I’ve decided to just cut it out with the prompts for Daily Creations
because I simply wasn’t doing them. And because it was stressing me out. The other day I thought “I’ll at least finish this month,” and then 2 days went by and I didn’t do anything (except take photos of what I wanted).
I did enjoy the small creations I was making, like the crown and chair, so I’d like to incorporate that on occasion, but I am hereby wiping the stress out of my 365 project and going back to whatever I want.
I AINT THE BOSS OF ME!…. wait…
It definitely feels like quitting, but if it keeps me from completing my 365 project, then it’s got to go. Have you ever had to make a decision like this?
What a beautiful sight the storm was. Too bad it melted away in a matter of hours. But every photographer’s best friend is a wet street, so I can’t complain too much. #freeforall #andcreations
Can you believe it? We’re getting buried in snow and I still have to go to work? Whoever said “the show must go on” is dead to me right now.
In other news, here’s my crown for today’s #andcreations prompt. I love making all these little crafts and shooting them. It’s more fun that I thought it would be. This one is made out of notebook paper and a new bronze sharpie. You can even see my fingerprint on it!
Well, into the snow with me now. *sigh*
