One of my most favorite shots so far from my Out the Bus Window project. I’m still really enjoying myself, probably more than before!
Simple Black & White Wallpapers to Keep You Motivated
So I’ve been quiet about it here on A&D (because I was afraid of jinxing it), but I am confident enough to mention that I am working really hard to get my lazy ass in shape…and it’s working. Part of that has been my slow ascent into the ranks of the runners here in NYC thanks to the Couch to 5K program.
I also need motivation to keep my act in gear in general. For some reason I slack off even on the things I enjoy. I have this bizarro mentality where I save the fun stuff (and that includes blogging, commenting, etc} for later so I have something to look forward to. Then suddenly it’s the end of the day and I’ve done nothing.
I think of these wallpapers as kind of a string around the finger to remind me to get up and go, in all aspects of life.

I can’t get enough of these illustrations by fashion designer Daphne van den Heuvel.
Color. Style. Grace.
3251(Late) Etsy Wednesday – Spring Blooms
How could I not be ogling light & creamy pinks after my trip to the gardens the other day? As the weather gets warmer and warmer, all I want to do is bury myself in fresh flowers. Seeing as how that’s probably not going to happen, maybe I’ll just surround myself with their hues.
Whaddya think? Up for some spring pink?
Brooklyn Botanic Garden – The Cherry Blossoms are Coming
Tuesday’s are free at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and I try to get out there whenever possible. I used to live a short walk from there and got my fix on the reg. Now it’s a subway trip away and I miss having them so close.
The cherry blossoms aren’t all in bloom yet, but I managed to find a few (among other blooms!). Happy spring!
231eFinally Finished: A Place for Out the Bus Window
I’m really excited to share with you my latest work in progress: Out the Bus Window. All photos here were taken with my phone (samsung sIII) from an NYC MTA bus window.
It’s been a long time since I had a creative project that genuinely made me smile and feel excited. In fact, part of me is bummed I don’t have to go to work today and so I don’t have to get on the bus.
Oh well, that leaves more time for my other crazy project I haven’t told you about… getting in shape. But that’s for another day.
Working Making Doing – Sneak A Peek
I’m in one of those weird places where I’m actually creating so much that I haven’t had the chance to blog about it yet. Here’s some sneak peeks…
If I haven’t popped by to say hello in the last few days, forgive me! It’s been a kind of a transformation week. A lot has been moving and shaking around here… literally! More on that and everything else soon!
What are you up to these days?

Etsy Wednesday – Minty Fresh
Is it any wonder with this new bout of beautiful spring weather that I might be in the mood for something minty fresh? I might even just put a pitcher of mint and lemon on my counter just so I can stare at it.
Of course, right as I say this we’re getting our first thunderstorm of the season followed by a cold front. Guess I’ll have to rely on Etsy to keep the spring vibe going for a few days.
O’er The Weekend: Out The Bus Window
I See What You Did There, Universe
All the stars have aligned as I find myself here at work, trying to get some posts done, catching up on back up 365 stuff AND preparing for the #blogbrunch discussion on twitter which happens to be about balancing work and life (and blogging).
Go figure.
If this isn’t a smack in the face, I don’t know what is!
