Weekend Photo - He's ready for his close-up

Joey (by RGP)

No matter how I'm feeling,  I always have photography.

Oh, that's my cat Joey.  You can see more shots of him and his brother Sid here.

meow- how fab!

I know he's probably a total pussycat, but in that photo, he looks damn fierce.

He is a beauty. And fierce! But I'm concerned, are you going through a low, artistically? Your photos inspire me daily, as well as your writing. I envy the apparent ease you feel with words. I know well the low feeling when you are not at your most inspired. The only words of wisdom (ha!) I have is the trite "this will pass". I'm sure you know that and have been through the cycle, but it rarely makes it any easier when you are in the midst of it.

Sorry if my attempt at reading between the lines is off base. Just hoppe you are OK.

You're the best. Luckily I grew up with a mom who taught me what it meant to be an artist and I've learned (and still learning) that's it's okay to be in a funk. Just have to get through it as best I can and be okay with not feeling 100%.

Of course you read perfectly through the lines. You're the only person who knows me better than I do.

wow, ry. this kitty looks like the one from sabrina the teenage witch!

Big kitty face!!!
I would love to get shots like that of my dog...if I could just get that big sausage butt to sit still!

He reminds me of the black cat we had growing up. A strong-willed beauty.

(found you thru Jenny on the Spot)

So glad you stopped by musing. LOVE the blog you run.

Ha! I never even thought of that before. Joey just got himself a new nickname!

The key is to definitely wait for that sleepy moment. If Joey wasn't half asleep at the time of the photo, there's no way I would have gotten it. I would love to see a shot like this of your dog, they can be so much more expressive than cats.

Thank you so much Jenny!

Nope, you're right, fierce it is. Of course that is if by fierce you mean total pain in my ass and uses the apartment as a training ground for the greatest marathon sprint of his life. Nevermind the whining when he wants to show of it's time to go to the bathroom....totally not kidding.

Thank you! He's got us all fooled in this shot. ;)

'No matter how I'm feeling, I always have photography.'

I think the same.

beautiful capture!

Ok, I'm not that much into cats but Joey is REALLY beautiful! Look at those eyes. Such a cutie.
