This week's Dialogue from Design for Mankind is fantastic. It still shocks me that gender equality is still an issue today, but let's face it....it is. I've dealt with it in my job, I've seen the imbalance with my own eyes.
But it's getting better.

So what's your take on gender and the art world?
Oh, this is such a hot issue for me that I should probably step away from my keyboard. It would be interesting to hear what these women will be saying in 15 or 20 years and if they have reached the level of success they aimed for (I don't mean financially necessarily, but one does have to pay the bills) and if so, what compromises they made in their personal lives to get there.
I hope I'm wrong, but I think if you look beyond the traditionally female crafts, men still garner more recognition and $$$ than women, even online.
I just went to Design for Mankind and read the comments there. Sad that the overwhelming thought expressed is that Will is hilarious.
