This week's find has me drooling. I'm not a big jewelry wearer but I am a sucker for something unique and the Etsy shop Helbent has it!
This piece originally caught my eye, making me wonder if it was some kind of body jewelry. Turns out the creator has chosen a very interesting way to wear her pendants that make it seem as if they're free floating above your neckline. At 10 bucks, don't expect this one to be around long, I might just swoop it up for myself.
When I browsed the new store to see what else she had, I found that incredible bracelet up there. I don't know if it's been done before but I do know I have never seen anything like it and I love the concept. Also love the photo! It's made of sterling silver and formed in the shape of a hand.
Make sure to go check out the rest of the shop for some really unique finds. Some are made of silver as mentioned above while others of galvanized steel. Oh and you could be her first customer! Prices range from $10-$60.

The fella returns home this week after having been gone since May 1st, so I thought I'd do an Etsy search with the word "Love". Naturally, I fell in love with this ADORABLE pillow called I Love Orange Flowers that I found at the shop, Jamtart Baby.
Actually, there isn't a pillow in this shop that I don't love. They're all so unique and I would love to cover my bed in them. Check out the blue elephant and the green chick.
Each square pillow costs $20 (a steal if you ask me) and is made of a soft natural cotton canvas material. The shop owner, Christina, also offers bibs, blankets and stuffed dolls.
Christina has another shop and a blog as well!

You've gotta check out this great collection of found photographs, all of America's youth throughout the decades, from Reservatory.net.

I want to share with you one of those often looked over but somehow important anyway items in my life.
I only found this domino a few weeks ago in the park. As soon as I saw it buried in the dirt, I snatched it up, brushed it off and brought it home. It wasn't until today that I found it again in my coat pocket.
Why is it important to me? Well first of all, when I one day move away from this neighborhood (Flatbush) I'll never want to forget the guys across the street who played dominoes all day every day in the warmer months. The sound of them slamming a domino on the table slowly became white noise and now in the colder months it feels weird not having them around...almost too quiet.
There's still groups in the park though, where I found this one.
The other reason it's important...it gets my imagination going. Why is there a nail in the middle of it? I can't help but wonder if someone was cheating by marking it, or maybe they got mad and stuck a nail in the double six ooooor perhaps it was somone's lucky domino and they lost it?
Who knows, I can make up a zillion reasons...and that's the fun part.

"In order for a more custom fit, this bracelet can be made in the shape of your hand by faxing or scanning in a tracing of your hand."
